The vision of the Hinton Nordic Skiers (HNS) is to continue to operate the Hinton Nordic Centre at its current high level of service for members and guests in an economically sustainable manner. Not just this year but for many years to come.
HNS will continue to promote the Centre to become a year-round facility, but our priority will be to provide an excellent skiing experience with quality and timely grooming for the nordic skier.
As well, we will maintain our world-class race facility to raise the profile of nordic sports in the community.
We will encourage the next generation of cross country skiers through the Jackrabbit and Bunnyrabbit programs, biathlon team, and Track Attack (youth racing) development programs. We will reach out to government and the community to forge the partnerships that will ensure the Centre’s long-term viability.
