| Freson Bros. Chili Loppet | Saturday February 14, 2026 | Freson Bros. Chili Loppet Be part of Hinton’s Winter Magic Festival 9th Annual Hinton Nordic Skiers Loppet. Come enjoy the Hinton Nordic Centre and have a great ski and some great home-made chili! Loppets are all about family participation and having fun. Classic or Freestyle. – 1 km, 2 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, 9km, 18km, or any distance you like. – Race starts at 11:00 am at the Hinton Nordic Centre’s Main Lodge. – Chili is free, but only if you pre-register at zone4.ca to reserve your free bowl of chili. Registration open soon. Pre-Register at zone4.ca, to reserve your bowl of chili – Race Day Registration will start at 10 am. Race is free. – Chili may be available on race day if available, $5 cash only. |
| Biathlon Alberta Race Calforex Cup Hinton | February 21 & 22, 2026 | The Alberta Biathlon Calforex Cup race season continues in full swing in Hinton. This event will also be the penultimate leg of the Western Series. Registration will open in early January, stay tuned for the official invitation and more updates as they become available. |

| School Use | December, January and February Mondays to Fridays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm | The schools in our area will be using the Hinton Nordic Centre (Main Lodge and Stadium areas) during the daytime, most days in January and February. You are welcome to come and enjoy the Centre too. Just be aware that it might be a little bit more busy than normal. |
