Cross Country Ski & Biathlon Programs

Biathlon Volunteers Needed!

If you want to have a great time on March 5th and 6th, as well as help the Hinton Nordic Skiers raise the money that keeps our facility operating every year, come and help out with the Alberta Championships Biathlon Races.  We are happy to have you for one day if that is all that you can make work and we promise to keep you well looked after with food and hot drinks.

If you can help, please contact Rhonda at rdlc@telus.net or 865-1037.

The Hinton Nordic Centre boasts 35 km of expertly groomed trails for skating and classic skiing, a large rustic day lodge, and a biathlon range. The trails have been recently upgraded to provide enjoyable skiing on novice to expert trails which have hosted national and world events. The club has an active Jackrabbit, Biathlon, and youth race program.

We have several new features to show off; a warmup cabin on a beautiful sunny viewpoint, a new novice trail, and many upgrades to the biathlon range that hosted last year’s North American and Canadian National Biathlon Championships.  We are in the process of upgrading our electrical system and converting to LED lighting.

Day ski passes can be purchased at the self registration kiosk in the main lodge or at zone4. Ski rentals are available at Vicious Cycle in Hinton and Memberships can also be purchased online; see the fees and registration page for more details.
